Don't think we even seen half the site as it was very big.
Lucky for us it was quiet today but i would think it would still be a busy place in the week. It looks like it would all fire up at the push of a button.

The giant Lafarge site made wet mix cement for the construction industry from Devon to Gloucestershire, with everyone from self-employed builders to large-scale housing developers, office block construction sites and even motorway bridges using its products.

65 jobs were axed in September 2008 due to the knock on effect of the downturn in the housing market.
This left only one kiln and two cement mills open at the site with just 65 workers remaining.
That is untell February 2009 when the rest of the plant was mothballed leaving just a four employees.
Cement still comes to the plant via the railway for distribution purposes so there is still people about on site a lot of the time.

Ha, we drove past this last weekend whilst on our Imber invasion. I did wonder if anyone had done it. Looks good, did you have a drive through Imber, the roads are still open.
