    Located near Chillingham Road Metro

Up for demolition as Newcastle has another application for MORE student accommodation to go along with the other 1000's of new student buildings that are taking over Newcastle.

27th May 2016: The application has been conditionally approved and the Victorian warehouse will be demolished soon.

I heard recently that it was a blacksmiths shop originally though i may have that wrong. It appears to be well sealed has been for a long time now, surprised it is as intact as it is considering the location.

Planning permission was sought in 2013 for a banner to be put on the "Engine House".

The application was refused and a banner was put up anyway. The council Enforced the removal.

    From the planning committee meeting:

In order for the proposed development to proceed, the existing two storey late Victorian industrial building on the site would be completely demolished. This is at present used as a warehouse for the storage of industrial lubricants. The intention would be for this use of the building to be transferred out of the city to an existing site in Killingworth within North Tyneside.
