The Long Rake Spar Mine Company was established in 1867. Mining ceased in 1981 however the processing plant is still in operation including the mine's headstock. The visited workings are 300 and 375 feet below ground.

Raptor Jesus, RAF-N, J4M35 and I made an impromptu visit last month and it was lovely - nice fun access, lots of filth and mine related interestingness. Not many photos from me unfortunately, and not particularly great either but hey-ho.
