I know these have been done before so i wont bore you guys with the history.

I went down about a month ago and planned to return to get some better photos but they tightened security not long after so I haven't had chance yet. Apparently people have been down there after the copper cables. Shame.

Anyway, here are the photos from the first explore. Really wasn't very well prepared for, didn't have enough time down there, and my battery didn't last the whole run.

    The first view you get...

One last smoke before we moved away from the entrance... (bad habit, yes i know ;) )

One of the several links to the parallel tunnel...

Another view of the link tunnels...

Some interesting writing which my dad informs me was from when BL stored experimental trucks down there...

Got a bit wet here, down the end of a corridor which leads to a staircase into the flightshed...

    This really needs no introduction...

    and again...

Shaft up to the surface somewhere, was blocked off at the top...

Old furnace, seemed eerily like a face...

Last photo before the battery ran out, just inside the transformer room...

hope you liked these pics, gonna go again at some point to spend a bit more time and take some proper photos.
