Report - Lynmouth Colliery Bathhouse

    A relic of a colliery which closed decades ago, Lynemouth colliery baths stand as the only sign of the vast Lynemouth and Ellington colliery sites. Despite it's long stretch of dereliction, Lynemouth stands in very good condition, with most of it's glazed brick partitions intact.
    The baths are listed because of it's interesting art deco tower. The staircase is enclosed by a very interesting domed tower. It was interesting that such a 30's perception of moderness should contain a victorian looking iron staircase!
    A very interesting site, and in my opinion one of the finest derelict bathhouses in Britain...
