The Maginot line was build in France during the 30-s to prevent foreign countries to invade France. It's a vast system of blockhauses, casemates, abri's, fortified houses and ouvrages. Most people visit the ouvrages, because they're the beautiful underground bunker complexes. That's a shame, because the abri's are also underground bunker complexes, although on a much smaller scale. I visited a few abri's and I was surprised of what's left in them.
