As many people know, Mr. Marconi was the first man to send out a radio broadcast of some sort and it happened to be in my home town  :p:

I'd read here that a few people had visited this factory and so I thought I'd give it a go.

Entry was pretty easy and without struggle or being seen. Once I was in the main loading and arrival area I spotten a small hut on the right (no photo there) and that a guard's jacket was hung up in his box. After having a quick glance around I spotted an entry into the main working area which was absolutely MASSIVE. Got a few photos there and went on my travels.

As I travelled around I discovered there were offices, workshops and the visitor toilets (which looked new and smelt like public loos). After a long walk around I found myself in the foyer bit where the carpet felt new and untouched. The area was bare apart from some old phone directories (didn't check the year) and some sort of delivery recrds books with an earliest record of, I believe, '92.

The place is full of the sound of pigeons and a few times I heard a closing of doors and a jetwash.

After getting lost in the maze of offices and workshops I finally made my way out and, I believe, almost got caught my Mr. Guard. I jumped of the ledge leading to a door and he may have heard me. Being a smart boy I walked on without running. No trouble there thankfully. Does anyone know what the guard is like there?

Here's some photos I took. I only went there on a whim and so the only available camera was my phone :(

That's all the photos I got. I didn't get a full look around so if anyone is interested in meeting and having a better look, let me know :)

    Thanks for looking!

    Edit: Photos up.
Edit 2: Apparently someone I go to college with, his company own the Marconi land and they're trying to prosecute anyone who is on the land due to the copper nickers so it might be best if you keep away from there for a while.
