Megatron is the culvert carrying the River Sheaf to its confluence with the River Don. It flows beneath the railway station where trains can be heard thundering by above. It is at this point the the Porter Brook joins the Sheaf.
The first picture shows the infall of the Porter Brook.
The second picture attempts to show the infall to the River Sheaf Culvert. Here there is a large grille across the infall to collect debris. The debris is removed regularly by a mechanical arm and grabber.

For most of the while, the culvert is divided into three tunnels running parallel to each other. What makes it interesting, is that almost every section of the culvert features arches of different styles, sizes and construction materials.

Towards the very end, the culvert opens up into a stunningly huge brick built arch!
