The Mid Wales Hospital, originally the Brecon and Radnor Joint Counties Lunatic Asylum

Opened in 1903, it was designed to be self-sufficient with private water, electricity, heating and sewerage systems, along with a farm where patients - many of whom were misunderstood and would never be allowed to leave - grew their own food.

Was in the area so decided on a quick visit, time has not been kind to the old girl.

Nice collection, shame to see how far down hill it has gone.

I am keen to get back to see this place before it goes much further down hill.
