    Hello 28DL
Firstly, apologies if this is a question that is asked lots.
Upon doing research into the contractors at a construction site with a crane im planning to climb, I came across the security firms site.
They use a 'manned alternative' which is CCTV with PIR's, upon detection they alert the control center who monitor the intruders actions and call the police.
Does anyone have any advice when it comes to dealing with these?

(Obviously im aware that avoiding them is the best option however I was seeking advice from someone with experience, also there is only so far research trips can get you and cameras tend to be well hidden especially at night)

    Thanks!

Set it off then retire to a safe distance and wait to see if the rozzers turn up. If so then that answers your question. ;)

Depends how good the CCTV is. If they're following you, you're busted on suspicion of burglary.
On the other hand, if they miss you, the cops will wander around for a bit while you hide up the crane. Then they'll leave and you'll set the alarm off again when you leave, and watch the police arrive from a safe distance.
Or... they'll just call the helicopter out and you'll surrender so you don't end up on BritCops (again), and get arrested on suspicion of burglary.

They would have been better calling Record Breakers about the amount of people they think they saw getting out of Skydivers car. :)

Good idea mate, I guess I wasn't thinking outside the box! I ev
    Ah that's interesting.
I read that if no criminal offences have been committed and it's therefore civil trespass, so long as I surrender myself and am polite, the cops have little to no reason to arrest me. (especially as i'll have a tripod on me)
Although, I guess being caught at 4am (planned time to make a break for it) would be a little on the suspicious side...!

If you are being recorded and monitored but are still determined to do the crane, I would suggest getting in and getting up the crane smart fashion and dont arse about because you are likely to have a welcome committee upon your descent, both of my experiences with these systems have ended up with being escorted off the premises by the fuzz but also on both occasions there have been loudspeakers with an operator saying " we have you on camera and are calling the Five-o" and they did........get in, do the deed, swap your sd card out of your camera and hide it on the way down.
Ofcourse in an ideal world you wouldnt trip any pirs and would present a clean pair of heels upon your exit :)

That's the theory. In reality they really don't mind giving you a night in the cells.

Thanks for the advice mate, i'll just go for it and not look back. At the end of the day the worst case scenario would be being arrested and having charges dropped. Also some angry parents!

So be it! The view will be worth it... hopefully! I'll make a report on it.

I'm very aware! I'd never climb a jib or anything of such.
