This could quite possibly be the first forum I've ever joined?.....
Anyhow, I'm originally from the Midlands bit firmly settled in the northeast with Mrs Womble.
I'm a keen (very)amateur photographer and usually into mostly sports and nature, however after browsing Flickr trying to get different ideas of composition etc I stumbled a few pics of run down buildings, ping.... The curiosity grew, more research and more curiosity, so I did no more than chuck camera in the car and drove along the banks of Wear and Tyne no location in mind just thinking of shipyards, that was all. I managed to get a few external photos of a couple of buildings and would like to try other places I:e Durham County hospital...
Sorry about the dribble... A little (not so little) intro
    Thanks folks

I'd be very interested to see what you can turn up shipyard wise... Hawthorne Leslie is still there but very very burnt and trashed now. Still worth a mooch though. I'm kind of the impression there is very little left now, but I'd be very interested to be proven wrong!

Shame you missed Pallion (Doxford)... now that was a cracking explore.
