Hey, I'm an amateur photographer from the Manchester area, looking for places that are starting to become derelict/are abandoned to shoot. I won't always be looking for places to enter, just places where you can easily set up a tripod/ monopod. (Preferably without it getting knicked ;)).

I'm looking for areas anywhere in the northwest, but I'm willing to travel within a three hour (by car) radius of Manchester.

Please let me know if you know of any abandoned themeparks, anywhere in the UK, that haven't been publicised on the news.

However my main aim is to find areas that are being reclaimed by nature.

Please message me if you you can help me find any of these. :thumb

I saw it on the news, so I've assumed that the security has been upped around there (that's what I was subtly referring to by being publicised).

I was wondering if there were any that have been less popular. Where I can get similar to shots like these:

It wasn't you, it was @Lavino assuming that that was the only place I wanted. (Unless I completely misread your remark)

Anyway I would have thought that the dragons in Camelot would have rusted by now?

There's this thing called "Google" you could try that to start with, or the search bar on this site, or do you just want someone to do it for you ?

As Camera Shy said Google or use the search facility on the top right of the screen, it's not rocket science.

Most theme parks that have closed will have been mentioned in the news, even if just at a local level so think you may have more luck finding the Holy Grail.

I was doing an introduction. It doesn't mean that I don't know this site.

    I was looking for suggestions.

Well done on the introduction :thumb but would say you don't know this site as an introduction asking for locations and a few post in another thread also asking for locations often opens you up for some 'helpful comments'. Try posting a report or 2 and people will be more willing to help.
