    Hello...

Lurked a while. Now it's time to get dirty. Have my eye on a few places, nothing new to you guys but may be a bit ambitious as a cherry breaker. We shall see.

Anyone in the NW want to take me under their wing on an adventure I'd be more than happy

    Welcome.

Might be a good start to expand your introduction a little. Tell us what you're interested in exploring wise will help a bit, no point going draining if you like to be high up etc. If you get out there in the meantime and put a report or two up; doesn't need to be anything special you'll find people more likely to get in contact as you've actually got off your arse!

Nothing worse than arranging to meet up with a newbie and they don't show.

I can't help much I'm afraid as I'm way south of where you are, but if you give a little to this hobby you'll get a lot more back in return and people will get in touch, just takes a little while starting out.

    Good luck!

On the contrary Oort, that's useful info. Thank you.

Primarily I'm after the experience of a sense of atmosphere. I do like to get to know a bit about a place so research is proving fascinating in and of itself. To then sample it first hand would be the pay off.

More drawn towards the older buildings - asylums, hospitals, residential etc but would love to sample the military sites or bizarre leisure facilities.

Drains and heights? Umm not the top of my list but never say never :)
