ROBSEY spotted this place and placed a nice 'heads up' on the boards for this building....looking at some observations by Citadel Monkey et al....I figured it was definately worth a look.
( apologies for not inviting you Robsey)
A scan of the perimeter showed some nice access points....but plenty of cams all around.
nahh dont worry , they probably are all off.
    I tried to reassure myself.
    How wrong I was...!
After a reasonable wait...for a gap in the usual traffic outside a coach station...I went in....and immediately started the 'chicken dance' ...as I still wasnt sure exactly where I was going to get 'in' the building
(Chicken Dance= Head on a swivel looking for security/cams....whilst treading lightly to minimise noise...whilst trying to walk around to some cover quickly :crazy)

In an up....there was shite weather approaching....arriving at the clock tower and its roof...I had about 10mins before howling wind and rain battered me...I retreated and came back 20mins later....to howling winds but nice blue skies ! sweet

Nice views over Town.....and Belgravia Police Station directly below !

Following some high and low rooftop exploring
( including the wonderful Speed Wings over the World Statue )
but dissapointed by the lack of anything other than debris on the office levels...I headed down to the ground floor lobby....cams everywhere !!! but I saw em in time to keep out of the way....but still curious...I found access to the securty room was open and was pretty horrrified to see all the recording equipment ...blinking and whirring away merrily...I didnt hang around here too long.
Down to the basement ...and what a nice surprise....a Ballroom next to the kitchens...with lots of mirrors and no doubt a glittering ball in its heyday...
Some more exploring of the warren like basement levels eventually found me back in the place I first accessed the building !...taking this as a sign it was time to leave....another 'chicken dance' across the yard led me out and away from this interesting building

First stop was the Clock Tower...Unfortunately the clock mech's are all electronic and housed in small wooden boxes on the walls...no gear to see.
There is a lovely observation room just below the roof of the clock tower.

Up on the clock tower roof...Looking towards the West End and City.

Looking South an 'old friend' meets your gaze....

    Victoria' below you

These chaps are right below you as well.....so be careful with your rooftop sillouhettes !

Out on the roofs...there are some great close up views of the exterior of the clock tower and clock faces..

Inside the clock tower ....the building decor is still intact and is 'lush'

The 'Boardroom'...in the Clock Tower - 'lush'

'lush' ...isnt a word I would use to describe most of the rest of office levels.

The 'courts' or whats left of those rooms are site offices...

Down on the ground floor...the main lobby....be careful...its littered with cams here and 'looks' like the place security would hang out..:popcorn
    [IMG]

Down to the basement...past the canteen....and there's the 'Ballroom'...lots of mirrors ...and a well kept wooden floor !

Out on the Mezzanine roof....took me a while ! and up close and personal with the "Speed Wings over the World" statue...commisioned by Imperial Airways to represent their business...taking people and mail all around the world by air

An interesting building...no doubt about it. :thumb
