Originally named “Printers' Labourers' Union†was formed in 1889, renamed the “Operative Printers' Assistants' Society†in 1899, then again renamed in 1904, “the National Society of Operative Printers' Assistantsâ€. In 1912, to reflect the fact that it was now also recruiting skilled printers, it was renamed the National Society of Operative Printers and Assistants, known by the acronym "NATSOPA".
Hornsey Rise Memorial Home, originally called “NATSOPA Memorial Homeâ€, was opened in 1921. This was as a memorial to the printers who had fallen in the Great War. It had it’s name changed in the 60’s/70’s to Hornsey Rise Memorial Home and it’s final owner was Pilgrims’ Friend Society. The home looks as it closed in stages starting with the admin and a block closed-by. It finally closed fully in 2012 if the paperwork is anything to go by.
It was an easy explore. Fascinating for someone who works in the Private Care Sector. It looked as it was a relatively good facility as it had a chapel, theatre, summerhouse, garden and or recreational facilities around the grounds. There is also a number of 1 bed and 3 bed bungalows, which I can only assume were used for assisted living. We were there for hours, which resulted on other planned explores to be put on the back-burner(again):banghead, but that is a damn good excuse to get out again :thumb

Nice set of pictures there mate. Is that post-trashing? Because it really doesn't look too bad.
