    Huge press shop with loads of British Clearing presses and smaller stuff (probably all now gone)

    Carley Engineering Ltd - 1st Machinery

    Were making automotive pressings and forgings, Previously made carley floats and bouys for the shipping industry.

    Good lead, though titling it "Notts Industries" had me confused for a minute, thinking it was in Nottinghamshire

    Swung by here at the weekend. Lots demolished and one of the press-shops is stripped. Remaining Press-shop still contains at least a couple of large presses and some other machinery and the large separate offices & stores building looks quite interesting. Anyone localish needs to get down there.....
