    Nutt Farm, Prestwich

    May 2015:

On a typically soggy day in Manchester, I thought I'd take a trip to this little derelict farm house in Prestwich. It's only 15 minutes away. You cant miss this thing and it was a pretty straight forward explore. Before you get to it, you pass a church called St. Georges. Really pretty little building. I took a quick picture to show my fianceè as we are looking for wedding venues at the moment. I recommend having a look at this place soon if you are close by, as there'a quite a lot off stuff left over from the previous tennant.

Here's a little bit about what might be happening to this place, no signs yet however.

"I have been contacted by a planning consultancy company which is undertaking work for clients who are the new owners of Nutt Farm – the derelict building across from he Church on Nutt Lane (Simister).

The developers are hoping to be able to submit a planning application to build four homes on the site, and to submit this application early in the new year.

They have asked me if I would like to find out more about the proposals with them, which I am happy to do informally, but obviously I would want to represent the views of residents in Simister.

Please can people let me know their views? (Comment below or if you prefer to be confidential just email me). Tom."

This property has been derelict for ten years but has been on the property market for a while now. After showing my father in law today, he told me he went to view the property around 6 years ago. He said when he walked in the place was a bit of a mess but no where near what it's like today. I've researched it a little and found that this farm stood in 1848 because it is shown on the maps, however I am not sure when it was actually builto. I'm afraid this is the only information I have on the place. Not too photo heavy because of the recent report posted on here. Thanks to @aiden.j for the heads up. I'm going back tomorrow night for a spot of night photography.

Photograph 5 is not an entry point, unless you are >10 years of age and willing to be impaled on glass.
