    Park Hill flats, the history:

    Park Hill
is a council housing estate in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It was built between 1957 and 1961, and in 1998 was given Grade II* listed building status. Following a period of decline, the estate is being renovated by developers Urban Splash. The renovation was one of the six shortlisted projects for the 2013 RIBA Stirling Prize.

So earlier we visited Park Hill flats, in the centre of Sheffield. Our intention was to reach the rooftops of one of the blocks - which we failed to do - but I'm not resting until I find a way up. Instead, we managed to gain access to one of the flats and take some rather interesting shots. I plan to revisit here during the day to get better stills and also scout for better access. Anyway, here they are.

The new, renovated side of Park Hill. Already has residents.

I like to call this one 'Thieves fuck off'

Watch out lads, Rotherham Depot's coming soon

Little blurry this one. The lovely Kitchen.

Hope this report isn't too boring, more interesting ones to come :)

That's a pretty big area of dereliction. Are all of the flats in the first photo derelict? Would be an awesome view from the roof and I'm sure you will get there. Shame about the grain in the photos but the main point is, you went there and managed to get something. If Sheffield wasn't on my low priorities list, I would have gave this one a go. Goodluck on your next venture :)

No, that's the renovated side. But if you look at the birds eye shot from the 60's, 75% of that is derelict. I really recommend you come down here soon before its all gone, I can't think of anything this scale. And I know my cameras a bag of shit - cheers mate! Good luck on your next explore.

I wouldn't really blame the camera and have took a good fair share of bad snaps myself. It's usually because a lot of my exploring is done with very low light levels. I recently bought a new camera which allows me longer exposure times a long with a pretty decent CREE torch. I'm sure if you go in the day like you mentioned, you will have much better success. I will have to consider a nosey sometime soon. Cheers

Anyone know if it's actually still possible to get onto the roof? Second time I've been round, I've managed to get in to two flats but no luck with the roof.

The access is plainly visible on a couple of areas, maybe you should try looking upwards ;)

This once again does not really form a report mate, blurry OOF pics & of a bathroom FFS  You really need to look at what other people are posting to grasp the idea of what a report should look like even at it"s most basic level.

Nobody is going to get any satisfaction from viewing these (in a positive way) & i"d like to think you would have learnt something about posting crap reports by now . Take a look at what you"re going to post, would you really like to see people posting that stuff up across the Forum ?

It"s not a Photographic site, but it still needs something worth taking a picture of & that image should be viewable, otherwise it"ll just be deleted.
