Hey guys here's my report on the Park hill flats in Sheffield the flats where built in 1957-1961. Once built the tenants who moved in created the area to be a rough area as you can probably tell from the estate and area. Unfortunately the building was grade 2 listed in 1998. Urban Splash started renovating these flats in 2010 doing a block at a time adding a splash of colour to the rundown concrete building.

so here it goes hope you enjoy :)...

Some interesting photos. It wasn't always a rough area though. It used to be considered a proper community when it first opened, and for many years after. As it aged it became a festering site for violence, crime and drug use. There are many former tenants who genuinely miss the place and those final few who refuse to leave.

I've never seen these before either - maybe they're from a film shoot?

I'd have probably said the same 10 years ago. I'm actually glad it was listed now - it's a great building :)

I think you could be right. They have started shooting for this is England '90. Park Hill featured in the '86 one so it could be related to that. There's a picture in the article I linked to below that could be castle market as well.
