    The Polo Tower, in Morecambe, normally looks like this;

    But, for the next few weeks, it is having a clean-up and looks like this;

    I did 2 solo trips up the tower, within 48 hours, over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The first trip was to get onto the tower and take some photographs from about two-thirds of the way up. On the second trip, I got to the top and took some more photographs.

    A close-up of the tower;

    From the top looking towards the Midland Hotel. The line of lights going out to the left is the stone jetty;

    Details of the top of the tower;

    The netting got in the way of many shots;

    It was a nice climb up almost vertical wooden ladders, securely fixed to the scaffolding with good views from the top. I had to do it at night, due to the large numbers of people walking around during the day. According to local papers, the scaffolding will remain until October.
