Post was first visited by Nick Catford in 1997 and i visited in 2008 and thought demolished as well:

however following a tip of via Nick, the previous location was wrong. On visit in today the post was found still there in the front garden of a private residence nearby. The vent shaft, BPI and FSM pipes have been demolished and the access shaft cut down to ground level. The original hatch is still there and is locked.

The kind and helpful owner of the house allowed access and told me he was resident during the time the post was active. Underground is in a poor condition and is flooded to about 4 feet, there is evidence the water level was higher. By the amount of copper wiring and radio mount i am sure this would have been a master post.

As i did not visit with waders a thorough inspection was not possible and i will return. The photos taken are from hanging off the ladder. Please do not attempt to visit this post without prior permisson from the owner as its in his front garden.
