So, in Reading today I got out of 'The Queens'' car, walked 500 yards up Garrard St. and into the station.

In that 500 yards I passed all of these:

All were empty when google took the pics in 2012 - and they still are now.

Come on you Berkshire lot :)

p.s - this was the only security I saw on Garrard Street today:

A lot of those buildings are related to the friars walk shopping centre, hence that zombie van. There is an empty bowling alley, shown in picture three above the taxi rank.
I never even went exploring when i was working down there last year. walked past most of those on the way to the pub everyday :thumb

The building above the taxi rank is an old bingo hall, mecca i think. Both that and the shopping centre are now used for zombie and airsoft games.

One thing i did notice in Reading recently, was that where they are redeveloping the road out the front of the train station, there is a huge hole which leads into an underground area. It may just be a large parking/loading area for he shops, i couldn't tell. I don't know where this goes to exactly, but have heard rumours that it used to be possible to cross reading town centre completely underground, from the civic centre to train station.

    Someone from Reading here...
Mecca Bingo Hall (Which will soon cease to exist) is not part of the Zombie Experience/Airsoft arena (The Mall, Reading | Zed Adventures). The owner of the shopping centre allowed a few of us to wander around and take pictures, and its a lot bigger than it looks, pictures here: Friars Walk, Reading - Imgur
Also i have heard about the tunnels, but never got a chance to explore them before the renovation of the train station.
