This a hybrid report which compares nighttime visits during the construction phase with a recent daytime visit while the building is being fitted out.

Downfallen on the roof gazing at one of his favourite buildings, Broadgate Tower,

    as it was then

and now, from one of the little roof gardens, reflected in the building

and poking out above the solar panels

Inside, the vast office spaces, serviced by some 27 lifts,

    are getting fitted out.

The internal atrium has acquired a glass roof.

Artillery cricket ground to the north by night

and by day - minus much grass!

Notice the core of Eagle House now rising behind.

    The three sisters by night

    and by day.

It wasn't the clearest of skies, looking over the Barbican towards central London

and in the other direction the City.

    Sadly, fan-riding

wasn't possible this time - perhaps some safety official saw the first report and decided to lock it down:(

And I'll end with my favourite from my first visit, the crane preparing to lift the Gherkin?

A beautiful building. Much appreciation to the folk who made the daytime visit possible, albeit tinged with sadness that Downfallen couldn't share in it this time.
