    ***PIC HEAVY***

We visited this in 2011 and it hasn't been posted due to people wanting to get in but apparently it was sealed not long after our visit and no one has been in since.

Visited with The Engineer & DHL (RIP), Thanks goes out to Tommo & his mate who helped.

Enough of the background and on with the trip (There are quite a few pics, if you don't like loads of images, I suggest you leave now ;) )

We arrived early evening, before sunset, checked the front out and all seems quiet. We decide it is too light to make our way towards the complex and go to the pub for a relaxing drink.

On our return we were shocked to see lights on in the buildings and full floodlit areas.

We thought it be best to check the surrounding area first, then DHL saw a phantom police motorcycle which ended up in a play of hide for about 15 minutes until I ventured out and saw nothing.

Not to be out done we went for it anyway, hugging the buildings and scattering across land in between the shadows. Lights flickering on and off outside scaring the bejesus out of us!

Once we found the access, we were in and descended down the many, many, many flights of steps!

Wow just awesome, great selection too, must of been a fine adventure that.

Were there any lights on at all anywhere, once you got down the long set of stairs.

Thanks for your comments, the only lights that were on were the lights around the Hanson live quarry area which was a small section of the complex.

Brilliant report, don't forget to add the date to the title because this needs archiving

I would rather not, you don't see some of the Burlington reports with dates. Due to the sensitivity of the site, it's best if I don't put an exact date to it.

If you want, it was 2011.

Excellent. Did you do the whole site? Looks a bit more run down than I'd have thought.

No, I think we missed a few parts, apparently there was a bigger switch/generator room. We also didn't see all the live quarry side but were were pushing our luck with time as it was getting close to early morning and we didn't want to meet the Hanson workers so left while we had the chance.
