The mill was built in 1867 and was designed by George Woodhouse for John Rylands, one of the largest cotton manufacturers. The grade || listed complex includes the former spinning mill, weaving shedsand engine house and chimney.

jcowap came along for this pigeon infested climb. The weather wasn't the best but when we got to the top and stood on the flimsy rusting cap which was about to collapse at any point, we could see for miles. we had to crouch low as people in their gardens would be able to see us and thats why there is the metal railings in every picture:(.
i also forgot to put any extrnals on. sorry:).

    1. don't look down! (jcowap had a bit of a shaky hand hehe)

Last time we went up that someone rung us in and they surrounded the park, we still managed to walk away (just)
