Salston Manor is a grade II listed building set in beautiful countryside, previously it was a hotel but was sold in 2008 and was planned to become a 76 roomed care home, but no progress was made. Although there are a few signs of work that was being done inside, it could have been like it for years.
The manor house itself had around 30 grand bedrooms, with wallpapered functions rooms and still has evidence of beautiful decor throughout, although it has now definitely seen much better days.

Salston Manor also had a pool, but that has been demolished and filled in, and part of the building also no longer remains, just the foundations on which it used to stand.

XTheRoseRedx and I decided to drive down to Devon after seeing it on the locations map one afternoon as it was a relatively short and pleasant drive. Access to the site itself couldn't really have been much easier, and the only sign of security was a long abandoned cabin on the edge of the site. Even though there are houses on the other side of the sites hedge, I don't think anyone really showed much care as we wandered about freely.

I thought they were starting to build here? As last time I went it looked like they were.

They have started building but you can still get inside. Nothing interesting on the inside though :(
Went there about a month ago now and kind of felt like a wasted trip, only half interesting thing in this building is the painting seen in the last picture of this report.

Oh and the big fancy pillar was still there

Know of any other good places to go that's worth while? There is an old pub near seaton. I'm not sure how to put pics up.

I went here the other day with a friend to see what all this urban exploring malarkey was all about.

We were hoping for an easy explore but ended up having a small meeting with the police. After they took our details they said they have to come there quite regularly due to teenagers breaking in (all of the windows and doors were boarded up with wood), it seems the owner of the place doesn't want people to come here as apparently the place is covered by CCTV and they are prosecuting people for trespassing.

I'm not sure if I misused the word "prosecute" but the police told me he was doing something law/court related to some people who visited, I can't remember the exact words he used but I got the impression he doesn't want people there.
