    Hi Guys

Wanting to have a couple of explores in Selby, Yorkshire. The leisure centre was on fire a couple of months ago and as such is closed with no sign of re-opening (fire damage)

The building itself looks fine from the outside, I wonder if it would be worth a look?

Also the Focus DIY store there has been closed for some time, but looks pretty secure? Any info/suggestions would be great.

Neither location looks to be very inspiring and I'm trying to resist the temptation to say that the best solution for Focus would be do it yourself :thumb.

I'm sure there are other explores in Selby that would be more rewarding.

Just go and see Olympia Mills at BOCM, they're knocking it all down, it's stuffed with wicked old steam technology, and there are parts of the site that nobody's done before (although not for a lack of trying) including a very nice little clocktower, the mechanism of which you can bet your arse won't get saved, regardless of what the planning permission states...

    Alright there.

There's no chance of the leisure centre or Focus..

There may still be parts of BOCM left if you went around the back way, it was pretty funky in there before it started getting knocked down.

Also try the farm on the roundabout at Greencore. you can get into the house, but keep your eyes out as there's livestock towards the back of farm.

Plus there's a couple of derelict farms down the side of the river on the Barlby side you can get into.

Also the row of derelict houses near the canal/chemical factory. I explored one of those, but watch out for security as they patrol now and again.

Middlebrook mushroom just outside of Thorpe is mint too, but they've started clearing parts of that up, but still worth a visit

And there's a small farm house at the side of the road in Whitley you can get into..not sure what its like now as i last went in there about 6month ago

Theres a few places for you anyways :)

Erm I can't really say on here...

But yeah have a poke around those places, the middlebrook mushroom farm used to be pretty mint but like I say they've started clearing bits out of it.
If you are from around the area take a trip up Doncaster way to the 'Dr's Manor'...its beaut I've been 4times...getting addicted to the place.
