Arrived on site what was going to be a fun packed explore, which after couple of hours ended rather abruptly when we was greeted by a rally angry security guard and one other person who frogged marched out of the hospital and us a right telling off, but soon backed down after i asked him to see his SIA badge which he didn't have with him, then let us on our ways.
Myself and AK did a little reecie 4 weeks ago and only did the morgue, but on the return we was greeted by finding one of the tables has been removed/taken.

    History.
Like many of the older hospitals in the UK, Selly Oak Hospital started out its life as a Union Workhouse for the poor. The Workhouse at Selly Oak was built in 1872 to replace five smaller hospitals around the area and could house 200 pauper inmates.

A separate infirmary was built in 1897 which could accommodate around 250 patients. At this time there were no operating theatres or a morgue. The internal walls were not plastered which was commonplace in Workhouses as painted brick was considered adequate for paupers. The workhouse and infirmary were separated by a high dividing wall and were run as two separate establishments.

The hospital was expanded gradually between 1911-1929 with the addition of operating theatres and surgical wards. The mortuary and pathology laboratories were added in 1934. The hospital was incorporated into the NHS in 1948 and ongoing improvements and additions were made until the site was closed in 2012.

We ran into him too later on that day but fortunately we had enough of a head start on him to get up a couple of flights of stairs to regroup before we made a swift exit! Great pics! I only managed a few of X-Ray before we got spotted.

Sounds like a pattern here, we was busted in the corridor which ran from x-Ray to A&E so there could be a silent PIR in the x-Ray department area??

I think it's for his Mrs

It's gotta be that camera or maybe a silent PIR where X-Ray leads to A&E

Certainly looks that way, I just walked through the double doors to go outside when I spotted him just standing there like he was waiting for us.

I don't think he had spotted us so when he did see me it was as much a surprise for him as me. Didnt follow us into the building though which helped.

Are you talking about the x ray rooms in the outpatients building? We seen a secca guy patrolling outside there last time we went but he never came in and we managed to hide out of his way before leaving

Must be near the X-Ray bit because I missed that at the weekend and got a good 3 hours completely undisturbed
