Me and a mate stopped here on way home from a visit to 'Methwold Cottage' (photos to follow). Ive drove past this place loads of times before with only some broken down wooden sheds visible from the road, ive always been intrigued to what (if anything was behind them).

Done a little bit of googling, used to be a petrol station ( i remember seeing some old petrol pumps there when i was younger). Couldnt find an exact date of when it closed, but one website said it was "long-abandoned" and a photo dated 1996 shows a very sorry looking abandoned car in the front shed, which has now practically disintgrated.

Intially we headed down a small clearing to the side of the sheds, and found ourselves walking along side this house.

Ventured upstairs, most of the floor had fallen through so didn't wander around to much. More or less stood at the top of the stairs and took these photos :p.

Had a nice little find out the back ...

After a few minutes of climbing through hedges, over some barrels, past some porta-cabins and squeezing into another fallen down garage we came across an e-type jag, austin alantic and a sunbeam talbot.

Interesting stuff... this being in the layby near the Nar river bridge? I remember yellow petrol pumps covered in ivy up until recent years, had no idea there was this much stuff there.
