Right, firstly thank you for all those that turned up, I know I half arse'dly arranged it, so it was good to see my simple efforts bare fruit!

Having stood around with The Ether for waiting at the place I was sure I'd told people to meet us for half an hour, a quick phone call confirmed every one was the other side of severalls, bugger, off we go then. We approach access only to find it fixed, buggeration! Standing there thinking what to do we are approached by some one I pressume to be from here + wife..... brandishing a hack saw of doom, odd me thinks! Light banter later and gap in the fence is found any way, we all pop through, I mention this site to the couple.

    "28 who?"

Hmm, fuck sticks, oh well, upon questioning she claims to be looking for ghosts, fair play, you guys rock on!

kz "at least you're not pikeys eh!"

guy "yeah, I am a pikey, I'm here for the copper!"

I bite my fist then swallow my foot, pleased that he didn't take offence to his title and buggered off like a rat down a drain in search of his prize.

In all my visits I seemed to have missed these giant water heating units, damn it BOB SAGET! (etc)

Fieldym takes a pictures of the hot hole.

We progress up the water tower for an ample serving of bird shite, I hit my knee again and grumble like a bitch on the way down.

    Found some old school graffiti.

Some friendlies at the bottom of the tower, yay!

Off into admin via the windows of doom, expertly managed to get in without accident, getting out I cut my hand, winner. The Ether peers down onto us.

At this point our pikey friend had followed us.

"Seen any copper?" er, no mate, I'm not really looking for copper. A choice moment was when Dab asked a pikey to pass him his camera to him up the hatch into the top of the admin building :crazy , the pikey sized up the camera, looked at me and gave me the task, he didn't fancy breaking it (or stealing it!) I didn't go up, didn't fancy a tumble

Some more recent graffiti, *tisk* *tisk*

Later we discovered a Roman mosaic!

Decaying paint, every where, not a drop to drink or, er, paint.

    :freak

I found some bent nobs, they weren't trashing the place though.

One nice find was this un molested seating area, all panes of glass intact and nothing broken, group shot of those that we hadn't already lost (sorry about that)

One of me up the tower

Me and Ether left to get lunch only to be confronted by security, hahaha, who'd have thought it, running away from him was a giggle, hiding behind a hedge we made our way out to the edge of the site, only to be followed by.... more pikeys! Two older gents, struck up a conversation with them, seemed they thought WE were police  and had been hiding from us :D

They've been robbing copper on and off for about 6 months and go there now and then, they were ok to talk to and we walked back down with them after the security had buggered off, they didn't quite understand why we were taking photos bless 'em.

All in all a good day out and nice to put names to faces and vice versa :thumb
