Sorry about repeat photos, but my original 'preview' thread was full of lots of wrong info and can be deleted!

Second visit here for me, photos are from both explores. It's pretty stripped, but there are random bits left here and there, access to the ground floor is pretty hard as there is only one set of stairs and there's a steel door at the bottom. Managed to spend a good couple of hours in here.

The Victorian Buslingthorpe Tannery was built in the 19th century aroudn Meanwood Beck and was an important part of Leeds' industrial heritage. Leeds' leatherwork output at the time was second only to London. At some point it was changed to Sheepscar Works and separated into various units, mostly clothing manufacturers.

It has since been designated a protected area, but there are plans to flatten the newer surrounding industry redevelop the works as flats and erect some town houses. Other mills in the area are Hill Top Works which is completely sealed (except for a small building that was used as an MOT garage), Sheepscar Tannery (still part live, part converted into self storage warehouses.) and Buslingthorpe Mills (converted into small industrial units).

We found documents & calendars in the upper floors from '95/'96 but on the first floor found some chequebooks from as recent as '06
