    Sorrento hospital history:
1911 opens as an instiute for the poor and needy
1916 used as a home for disabled soldiers
    1929 becomes maternity home
    1948 becomes part of NHS
    1993 closes
present use as a retirement home

During its time as a maternity hospital an ante natal clinic and milk bank was established in a set of victorian houses not far from the main hospital building, these were the subject of mine and Rigsby's visit. Not the most impressive of sites but was still good to chase up another lead in the local area.
