Rarely when visiting Rochester do I venture off the High Street. Today, however, I walked along New Road and noticed an entire block at St Bartholomew's Hospital is vacant with metal shuttering on the first, and occasionally second, floor windows. A quick scout revealed two padlocked doors, both of which appear to have been broken open sometime in the past, and then sealed again. The block has been vacant for at least two years, with Google Street View imagery dated May 2012.

Maybe something for locals to keep an eye on?

I live in chatham unfortunately and have been watching this for a while, theres barely any info about it online - at least nothing about why this block is derelict anyway. It would be pretty nice to get on the roof at night, should give some nice views over the medway
