My first dip into the urban exploration scene! My friends and I found this lovely broken down, abandoned nursing home and we explored it 1 week before the high winds destroyed it...
all the pictures can be found here
[MOD EDIT - REMOVED ACCESS TALK] walked straight into a scene from Silent Hill! creepy corridor, peeling paint... it was brilliant!

the first room we found was a pristine chapel hall! The altar, confessional booth and giant crucifix were all still intact!

we then moved out into the rest of the home, which is massive! but the roof had collapsed on part of it, bringing down 3 floors worth of rooms so we only got to look around 50% of the building, even that took us 5 hours.
The stairs were all pretty intact, and we could walk along the second floor corridor without any danger. we discovered patients rooms, still holding belongings and beds!

We decided that the basement would be safer than the roof so down we went into a flooded, stone room full of suitcases which still held patients belongings! the basement was pitch black and freezing so we didn't spend long down there...

The final place before we had to leave due to the darkness was the art and crafts room! we found paintings, knitting and embroidery, the place really does seem to have been abandoned in a hurry!

I hope everyone has enjoyed my first ever report, check out the flickr images
and trust me, there will be more :D
