It was designed by John Foster, and construction of the building began on April 9, 1811, with consecration taking place on January 12, 1831.

On Monday, May 5, 1941, St Luke's was hit and burned by an incendiary bomb. Today it still stands as a burnt out shell, commonly known locally as "the bombed-out church", and its churchyard is a public park. A memorial to the dead of the Irish famine has been added to the grounds recently.

After waiting for me to mess around with a food and packing my kit, Snappel and I headed off to do a crane but after several attempts on an entrance we sacked it off due to an over active fat security guard and Chinese chefs each holding 3 swords!

Anyway we then headed to this Church. Great building in its day and lovely gardens surrounding it. Entry was a tad tricky but neither-the-less we got it. Awesome being on the battlements, we both want to be archers now! Once again sorry for slight lack of quality as they are coming from facebook. I'll get myself a photobucket account soon. Enjoy!
