Hi, I pass the train station every day and the only building I can of is the Nova Training Centre. Its next to the Mercedes garage, it looks like a small office block

Its Universal of Grinding Wheel fame (now St Gobain) The bit that is left is used as warehousing although theres plenty there that isn't used..

Unfortunately this place has been a catalogue of disaster for me. We spotted it too late (2012 maybe?) with 25% of the site already demod for housing. Then another 50% of the site went before we managed to get in much of it. What's left is still going to be good but personally i've lost motivation to keep checking on it..

If anyones interested heres a bit of a backstory on it.

Map shows various areas, Red is factory that remains today, Green is office block that remains. Blue is what got demo'd in early 2014. Yellow went before 2012. Purple is GEC/Bagnalls 'Castle Works' we explored with much more success in 2012. Report is on here somewhere

Main entrance, much of what you can see apart from the buildings on the left of the gate remain i think.

Main offices are pretty epic. Not sure if they still use a bit but i seem to remember the lights are on but the door is chained so probably not much of it.

This is part of the block to the south. It had been out of use a long while i think. It was a bit tricky as it was sandwiched between the railways and security. Did manage to get close once but it had just recently been metalled up. Could see a nice old press inside but not much else. Strangely im pretty sure there were photos from in this part floating around under a code name on another forum but of course impossible to find now unless you remember the stupid name they gave it!

Another part now gone at the north of site. We tried it from all angles and it was just locked. I assumed at the time it was being used for storage but then the next time i went to try it was flat!

An Interesting bit that should still be there is this weird hydraulic pump house

A bit of a strange one this was. Didnt give access to the main factory like it looked like it would do. Gives an idea what it might be like in there tho. Never seen anything like it

Also did the boilerhouse, bit meh!

A couple more photos from the back of the site. We could see tantalising stuff through windows but just couldn't see a way inside.

Unitec Ceramics is the factory site outlined in yellow. That was a recurring disaster for me.
