Read in the Stockton and Darlington Times newspaper that this place had been subject to crime and vandalism and it is to be turned into luxury apartments subject to a planning application. It is grade 2 listed and dates back to 1607 and is owned by the Hon Harry Vane son of Lord Barnard of Raby Castle. It has been unoccupied for about 7 years, i found it in pretty good condition really prety much stripped but one or two gems still remaining anyway have a look at the pics.

In an old barn outhouse i came across these old newspapers from the early 1960s and noticed you could buy a brand new car for £500 back then.

All in all a very pleasant wander around this fine old house hopefully it will be brought back to use again for people to enjoy though no doubt it will be beyond most peoples budgets.
