I was working in Essex last week and frequently used the B1256 to get around.

Between Takeley in the south and Great Dunmow in the north stands the abandoned Stansted Motel, comprising of a main building I presume housing the admin and reception area, this building also contained an Indian resturant. To the rear of the site a few rows of motel rooms can be found.

I was not able to hang around long as I was in a company vehicle, but I scoped the site from three sides. The HERAS fence has been breached in the past by the looks of things and a few openings into the buildings themsevles look ok.

I managed a few snaps of the exterior on my phone. If anyone is interested I can pass them on.

    Cheers for now

I took some pics in here about a year or so ago. Wasn't really worth reporting on but I'll try and get some pics up when I'm not so snowed under with work. Worth a nosey though if you're local.
