Part 2 of my first day exploring with Severed Frequencies, LiamCH, mc_Hawkins and 3 other non members.
Wow, what an amazing place to visit for prime decay and derelict state. So sad at the same time and quite emotional to see the vandalism and damage caused by thugs and chavs.
We parked the 3 car convoy down a country lane and as we were getting our kit out, a police car drove past. Of course we all tried to look as innocent as possible and sure enough the police carried on and disappeared. We spent a good hour and half exploring the house, then Severed Frequencies heard the call from outside: 'Hello, its the police, please come outside'. Myself and Tracy thought, we should go talk to the police as we had almost finished anyway, while the others ran and hid. We explained that we werent there to trash the place, but instead explore and take photos to capture the history before the place fell down. We were told that the locals are lookouts and call the police whenever they suspect anything and he told us that health and safety issues were the concern. We told him that we knew the dangers and were always very careful. He said he would let us finish as long as we weren't too much longer. What a nice copper! :thumb

    History

Potters Manor House was built in 1904 by the classical architect Hugh Jokin. It nestles well hidden near the village of Nevertell just off the A40999 in Hampnex. The last inhabitants were a family of artisans and potters and for some reason, that we will probably never know, left the house with all its contents including many paintings and full wardrobes of clothes.
