Now it's time for some Swedish underground, once again ...

    RRGC
Radar Group Centers, RRGC, were a series of military installations that were included in the Swedish system of military air surveillance during the 1960s onwards, as part of STRIL 60 system (Swedish Air Force Combat line version 1960). These RRGC's was connected to a number of radar stations in the air defense sector Current RRGC accounted for. In RRGC filtered radar information and then forwarded to Air Defence Centre (LFC) as contingent feature of the overall situation and decided on the efforts of their own fighters. The immediate battle line was performed by radar hunt leader in LFC and RRGC. There were an unknown number (have not been able to find any exact data) RRGC in Sweden.

Radar Group centers were available in two versions: RRGC/T and RRGC/F, where T was transportable and F protected in caverns.

    STRIL60
Within STRIL60 would RRGC's originally responsible for air surveillance and command and within the assigned area of up to 4,000 meters using only low-altitude radar stations of the type PS-15. With the improved transmission of radar information became possible within STRIL in the late 1970s, then expanded the area of RRGC / F to all heights within a geographic area. RRGC's manned by personnel from the Air Force and was running around the clock. The management of Sweden's incident preparedness was also from these RRGC's.

    Construction
A little unsure if there was any "standard design" of RRGC / F, but it would then have to be:

Ground floor: Ventilation / air supply and backup power for operation of the plant during outages. In addition there were dining with kitchen, small workshop and more.

Middle Floor: There were facilities for cooling, conference rooms, changing rooms and toilets.

Top floor: Consisted of two larger spaces, the telecommunications room (computer equipment and other electronics requiring a clean, temperature controlled environment) and operator room / tactics room. (This was shown up in different forms of monitatorer, the status of its own joints, weather and other vital area of Information. Here inside even put radar hunting leaders who could lead the Swedish fighter right. Apparently the pictures, it was just these premises, unfortunately, quite so empty now :-(

    Liquidation
Decommissioning of the system took place from the mid 1990s until 2000, after the Cold War ended. Some/any of the caverns where the radar group centers existed, has for the military settlement gained new uses, such as civilian data centers. But most RRGC facilities have been emptied and closed forever, with one single exception.

    The visit
This plant now has a private owner, the facility has alarm and is not possible to visit without permission. So I´m glad I got this opportunity to do this visit :)
