The cavalier was in a fairly neglected part of town and stood alone and dimly-lit beside the rather grim Ellerby Road.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any history on the pub. I did, however, find out a rather funny story... the landlord had a parrot constantly on her shoulder. It swore like a trooper. Then there's the story behind the parrot; someone just came into the pub one day and said "There's a parrot in the road" and there it was, they took him in. Much to the chagrin of the landlord's elderly, blind Highland Terrier Ben, who the parrot terrorised. The parrot was named Reuben and became an essential part of the furniture at the Cavalier, occasionally shouting 'you're barred' or swearing loudly at the customers.

It wasn't a very adventurous explore at all, we just ended up chilling upstairs for an hour or so.
