The Mole People - Life in the Tunnels Beneath New York City - Jennifer Toth
    ISBN 978-1-55652-241-3

There is some question mark over how truthful Jennifer Toth's account of her visits to the homeless people living under New York really is - however, this is a really fascinating account, even if she did stretch the truth slightly. The characters she portrays are very different - some proud of the lives they've made in the tunnels, many depressed and addicted to various substances, some very, very dangerous.
