This is a reprint of a book originally published in 1937 - a guide and list of adventures of a bunch of Cambridge student who climbed buildings all over the university - and hauled big-ass photographic equipment up as well to photograph each other doing it.

Some of the skills shown are pretty impressive, and it's also a pretty good practical guide on how to climb drainpipes and chimneys...

I heard one of them got booted out when he was caught, and some will still not reveal their name!

Just another example of people doing just what we do now but before the internet and community, just Like John Harris and his country house snooping, another good book on early UE.

^yeah their nut sacks were far larger than mine will ever be. but the parallels in the book are endless, from the ethos of their adventures, to the talks of night photography to the runins with the authorities, some friendly, some not, it goes on. yeah its not 100% right to say its the same as what 'we' do, but I think the point was what most of us do is nothing new, and especially the ethos behind it is nothing new, but once again it should be noted these guys were amazing.

Well, it was urban, and it was exploration, so I think it counts :)

There's a lot of variation, though - for example, I wouldn't say that Gaping Gill was urbex (it's not urban, it's not even man-made) - but I don't mind that reports have appeared here.
