After being tipped off, driving 70 miles, and being centimetres from
crashing into a crashed car on the M25... we finally arrived. Have
waited a long time to see this gem and was too great of an
opportunity to pass up, hence the impromptu visit back to my
    hometown!

Visited with a few others so made it quite awkward to get pics
sometimes and move about but it was a great explore. This place
needs to be restored and used! Shame it's being just left here to rot
    basically!

    History
The State Cinema is a Grade II Listed building in Grays, Essex. It
opened in 1938 as one of the most modern cinemas of its type at the
time with seating for 2200 people. The cinema officially closed in
1988 but has held numerous events since including being used as a
nightclub, however the building has now fallen into disrepair and is no
    longer in use. [Source]

    On with the pics!

    13. Although you can't see it, we could actually see the pictures quite well!

    17. This time I tried the blue film over my flash on the camera!
    Worked quite well!

To be fair Weatherspoons are quite sympathetic in keeping features so its a good option. Rather that than demolished.

Its a bit sad as its almost one of the kind nowadays but much better for it than demolition of course.
