    HISTORY
Scales Hall, which became Scale Hall Farm dates from 1685, although there must have been an older building, as its former barn, was originally a tithebarn dating back to 1324, which became the Lancastrian pub in 1983. It opened as the Scale Hall Country Club & Restaurant in June 1985. The barn is now an Indian Restaurant called the Barbar Elephant
Looking at relevant trip advisor comments the place did really well for itself earning a great reputation as a local and guest hotel, in more recent years it seems the managers changed and it started to go down hill from there. Money needed spending and things needed repairing both of which were not done causing the pub to close in 2015

    EXPLORE
Originaly we went to Lancaster for a days photography and to look at a few derps (mainly the brewery) we noticed this as we were heading out of aldi supermarket as its right next door , although access was apparent it needed a genius level manoeuvre to get in. Once inside it was a bit deflating, all the good stuff had been ripped out and probably flogged, the wood panelling on the walls had been stripped and stacked and a few partition walls had been pulled down. Still a nice explore with some nice little features to see oh and we were kept company throughout by the massive rat infestation
