    The UK's three transporter bridges

A transporter bridge, also known as a ferry bridge or aerial transfer bridge, is a type of movable bridge that carries a segment of roadway across a river. The gondola is slung from a tall span by wires or a metal frame. The design has been used to cross navigable rivers or other bodies of water, where there is a requirement for ship traffic to be able to pass. This has been a rare type of bridge, with fewer than two dozen built. There are just twelve that continue to be used today, including one converted into a lift bridge and one designed as, but not yet operating as, a transporter bridge. (Wikipedia)

I'd been aware of these for some time but just never got round to them, they're scattered about middle England and i rarely leave London, especially not to frequent places such as Warrington, Middlesbrough and Newport. They're all beyond easy to get up, that it barely seems like doing an umbex. I sometimes find it harder getting into my flat. All three bridges have weird little stories attached to them, some with sleeping in a school gym on broken glass covered crash mats, some with sleeping in a Mcdondalds at 5am googling how to get anti-climb paint off clothes, some with banging out Taylor Swift in an Indian themed student bar, some with police and two guys in balaclava's on a stolen digger at 3am. Those are for another time. Warrington and Middlesbrough were done in 2015 and by the start of 2016 it was bugging me that i hadn't done all 3, so here they are.

You know what I mean... I didn't use the term quite correctly in terms of its socio political connotations. I used it as a way of saying those three places are in the middle of nowhere.

Think London, but how it would be if you could start again from scratch.

I tip my cap for the hat trick, especially the yellow one, which I hear is death on iron legs!

Boom, it's an exclusive club to be in! Most don't bother bagging all three but I reckon its worth the extra effort. They're a nice chill set of adventures. Warrington isn't too bad except for the wooden walkway.
