Coventry Market is being demolished, or at least part of it is. Attatched to the building was this bazarre 60's/70's clock tower. It replaced a fine red brick and stone tower which was swept away in the post war redevelopment of the 1950's. Not sure if they will demolish it or not. If they are keeping it they have some patching up to do... thy have knocked big chunks out of the bottom!!
The climb was an interesting one, ladders unbolted from their mountings and shady scaffholding towers. The faces are pretty naff really, just fibreglass circles. Views of Coventry are really good... I sat up there for about 20 mins with a kebab, which was fantastic!!
