Hello,

First time poster, long time explorer.

Today i was out walking near to Wycombe Airfield and i came across a door set into the ground which was meant to be bolted with a heavy duty padlock but was unlocked and open. I didn't venture in but i do wonder what is down there and if anyone has / would like to go in..

Access is a bit awkward as you have to walk through the airfield if coming from Wycombe or you can go round the back by Adams stadium.

If you go by the airfield, look like you belong and you will be fine. I walk there often and never get bothered. Planes have priority (especially landing ones)

It's almost definitely an old air raid shelter. If your planning a look I think the trespass law is slightly different in that airfields are protected by the Air Nav. Order.

Visited.. either air raid shelter or ammo store. About 200 metres back towards the runway there is an observation bunker which is locked up and covered in nettles.

nothing inside just 2 rooms about 3x3m.
