Fawley Power Station
Fawley had been on our radar for a daytime explore for a while, and after a scope out a year ago we decided to leave it as the control room was still being used and the light was fading. After seeing Speed and Clebby's efforts (well done, guys), we decided that we needed to see it for ourselves.
History and other bits (scanned from wiki) -
Fawley was an oil fired station, powered by heavy oil fuel via a pipeline from the nearby refinery, and did not operate at all times, instead it was online when there was high demand.
A dock was included in the construction for delivery of oil, but was only used for one shipment.
The station was commissioned in 1971 as a 2,000 megawatt station with four 500MW units,
Two of the units were mothballed in 1995.
Fawley closed at the end of March in 2013, and is now undergoing demolition and development.

What I've shot and covered here doesn't even begin to do this place justice. But I hope you can get some idea
