Report - Hamilton Lodge, Essex Sept 2017

I decided on a spur of the moment visit. Upon arrival it didn't seem the same as some other reports I had seen floating around. The whole ground floor now has metal sheeting over the windows etc, making for some challenging conditions to light it up. I got there in the end after a bit of faffing around and getting hampered with the glare/reflections from trying to light it up. Some parts looked to have been tidied up a little since the previous reports.

This former care home is set in the countryside in some really nice grounds. Closed around 2011.

It is the one in Colchester. Its not active, we plan on going back again very soon, drop me a PM if you are keen.

Me and 2 mates went into this place. I'm posting this as there are motion sensor cameras all around the property and it has security patrols and call outs. The guy we spoke to called the police etc and we left with no problems however he did state the place is owned and therefore we were trespassing etcetc. So just a heads up this place is locked down now or however you want to put it. Hope this of use to someone

Just got into the little cabin next to the main house. Turns out it was their games room! And the power is still on too. We dug out all the parts to the table tennis table, complete with bats, balls and net. Wasted a good hour here with a mini tournament. Well worth a look. There's air hockey too.

The motion cameras appears to be true but only around the new area behind. Steer clear of there and there should be no drama.
